Niantic has confirmed on their blog that Mega Rayquaza will return for another special raid event. The event is slated for Saturday, August 3, 2024, and will appear in three separate hour-long blocks. In June, there were some technical issues that made getting Mega Rayquaza difficult for some folks, so they're holding the special event for everyone in the world!

The times listed are 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. local time. They also announced that the Remote Raid Pass limit is increased from 5 to 20 for the day, which means its likely to be normal raids rather than Elite Raids. That's a welcome change, since a number of trainers around the world were unable to participate due to Mega Rayquaza's difficulty!

Additionally, Niantic's site says that a Free Timed Research will be available for trainers to earn a Meteorite. Remember, Rayquaza requires knowing Dragon Ascent to Mega Evolve. This move can only be taught with a Meteorite, an Elite TM will not work! So, be sure to get the Meteorite while you can.

We'll be sure to keep you updated on the event as we get more information. Hopefully this one doesn't have technical difficulties!
