General Description
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are faithful remakes of Generation 4 games on the Nintendo DS: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. These games are so faithful that many fans consider it a detriment to the games, but they certainly have their charm. Set in the Sinnoh region, the games follow the exact same story as the original Diamond and Pearl. The remakes use a 3D chibi art-style to mimic the original's style. There are also a few new changes and additions such as the Underground, more interesting Gym Leader and Elite Four rematch battles, additional trainer outfits, Legendary Pokémon encounters, and the removal of teaching HM moves (field moves) to Pokémon.
Throughout the adventure, players can focus on catching Pokémon to complete the Pokédex, challenge gym leaders, stop Team Galactic's plans, explore the region, and interact with numerous characters.
Story Overview
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl follow the traditional Pokémon narrative, where you're a young trainer that embarks on a whole new adventure with a single Pokémon companion. You start in the cute town of Twinleaf in the Sinnoh region and embark on a journey with your rival. Throughout the journey, you'll explore new towns, meet new characters, encounter Pokémon, fight Gym Leaders, encounter Team Galactic, and discover some Legendary Pokémon that shaped the world.
