November 2022's Pokémon GO Community Day is fast approaching! This time, the featured Pokémon is Teddiursa! Teddiursa is a special selection because this Gen 2 Pokémon family received a new evolution in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. For this community day, you'll be able to get Ursaluna!

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you'll be able to find Teddiursa nearly everywhere in Pokémon GO. Of course, the shiny rate will be dramatically increased to about a 1/20 chance, so this is a great time to get the mint-colored bear.

Ursaluna is the final evolution in the family, and according to Niantic it is only evolveable in this game through a special full moon event. It is unknown if they are adding the moon cycles to the game so that after Community Day you can evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna on a standard full moon or if it is a special in-game event triggered by Niantic only.

Ursaluna will require 100 Teddiursa Candy to evolve.

Ursaluna will receive High Horsepower upon evolving, a move with 100 power in PvP and 110 power in PvE.

Other bonuses:

  • $1 USD special research story called A Sweet Snack
  • 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon
  • 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
  • 2x XL Candy Chance
  • 3-hour Lure duration
  • 3-hour Incense duration
  • One additional special trade
  • 50% stardust reduction on trades

The Bonus Raid Battle event will also return between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. where trainers can fight Ursaring (no remote passes) to get Teddiursa to spawn en-masse around the raid's gym for 30 minutes.

Teddiursa should be a fun Community Day! I am personally very excited to see Ursaluna in Go as well. Makes me wonder when we'll get some of the other missing evolutions introduced in Legends: Arceus.
