In a shocking twist, Pokémon GO will feature Vanillite for its April 2025 Community Day. The Fresh Snow Pokémon is a cutie and the Shiny is strawberry flavored! Vanilluxe will also be able to learn Avalanche.

As per usual, the paid Special Research will give additional items, encounters with Vanillite, as well as Vanilluxe. There will also be a Community Day Special Background Timed Research, same as with other Pokémon.

Vanillite has gotten a lot of hate in the past because it's "just an ice cream cone" but I still think it's cute. The shiny is a lovely light pink, which is perfect for a little ice cream guy. I'm surprised that we're getting an Ice-type in April, since it's not quite summer nor winter across the globe. Anyway, it's also cool that Vanilluxe will get Avalanche, its featured attack. Hopefully it's good!
