DexNav Shiny Chance Calculator
Use this calculator to calculate your likelihood of getting a Shiny Pokémon while hunting with the DexNav in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. You can read more about how the DexNav increases your shiny chance in our dedicated guide.
Enter what your current chain is. This is how many successful (defeated or captured) repeated encounters you've done so far! Note that any value past 99 is as if you had a chain of 0!
Enter what your search level is. This is the number that is on the DexNav screen on the top right corner when a Pokémon appears. This value can go up to 999.
Set this if you have the Shiny Charm.

Chance of Next Pokémon Being Shiny
With a Search Level of 0 and a Current Chain of 0, the next Pokémon (spawn number 1) has the following chance(s) of being shiny:
Overall:
1/4096
(0.0244%)
If Boosted*:
1/4096
(0.0244%)
If Not Boosted*:
1/4096
(0.0244%)
*You can tell if a Pokémon is boosted if a red exclamation point appears next to "Level" on the screen. It will be 10 levels higher than a normal encounter. Normally, a Pokémon has a 4% chance of being boosted if there is an active chain, but some chain values guarantee a boost.
