Calculate the Chance of Catching a Pokémon in Sword and Shield
This tool does all of the math to calculate your likelihood of catching a Pokémon in Sword and Shield (the Generation 8 main games), including their DLC (The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra). You can select any Pokémon available in these games and any Poké Ball you wish. Simply fill out the rest of the information and it'll do all of the hard work for you.
Please note that this calculator only works for Pokémon Sword and Shield and its DLC additions, no other Pokémon are included in the selection dropdown. We have calculators for Scarlet and Violet, Legend's Arceus, and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (coming soon!). To get this value, you used to be able to just check the Pokédex, but additions from the DLC have made this trickier. There are about 580 or so species that can be registered in the Pokédex. That is the maximum you should consider if you have completed all dexes, but even 451 is enough to trigger the highest bonus. Higher values are possible with this calculator so you can make theoretical calculations.
Check this if you have the Catching Charm. Remember, critical captures are disabled in Max Raids of all types!
