The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 finale was revealed during the Pokémon Presents today, July 22nd. This event will feature Eternatus, as well as the return of Gigantamax Pokémon as well as Zacian and Zamazenta. The main event takes place on August 23rd and August 24th, so make sure you're ready for it!
linkGO Pass: Max Finale
I'm listing this one first because this is the only way to get Eternatus and you only get one. You must complete the Pass Tasks (the type of tasks that require you to "level up" the pass) and if you don't finish, you don't get the chance to catch it.
This free pass gives you:
- An encounter with Eternatus
- Random Dynamax Pokémon
- Candy
- Max Particles
You can also upgrade to a Deluxe version that gives you:
- Increased chance of Shiny Dynamax Pokémon in one- through four-star Dynamax Battles
- Eternatus Helmet avatar item
- More Pokémon encounters
- Additional Candy
- Additional Max Particles
Major milestones for completing the pass bonuses include:
- Tier 1:
- Increased power for Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash
- Additional Max Particles from Power Spots
- Tier 2:
- Additional power increases for Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash
- Increased chance for wild Pokémon near Power Spots
- Tier 3:
- Maximum increased power for Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash
- Additional rewards from Pokémon placed at Power Spots
linkLead Up to the Event (Dark Skies)
For the lead up to the event, Zacian and Zamazenta will be in raids. August 18-22 will feature "Hero of Many Battles" forms of these Pokémon. For special raid hours, the Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta raids will occur, which are really small windows to get energy if you need them. Here are the exact dates for these raids:
- August 18-20: Zacian and Zamazenta together in 5-star raids
- August 21: Zacian only in raids, 6-7 p.m. local features Crowned Sword Zacian
- August 22: Zamazenta only in raids, 6-7 p.m. local features Crowned Shield Zacian
There will also be loads of Dynamax Pokemon available in the lead up across the week. Some notable returns are Latias, Latios, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Suicune, and Entei.
Power spots will be more active and refresh more frequently. Additionally, Max Particle collection limit will increase.
linkEvent Days (MAX FINALE)
During the event on August 23 and 24, every single Gigantamax Pokémon already released in the game will return. That includes the following in this picture:

These Gigantamax Pokémon will cycle every hour on both days.
Additionally, Eternamax Eternatus will be showing up in Max Battles. You cannot catch Eternamax Eternatus from raids, but you'll get large amounts of Candy and XL Candy since Eternatus requires significant amounts to power up.
Event bonuses will include:
- Additional Power Spots are active
- Power Spots refresh more frequently
- Max Particle collection limit is increased
- 2x Candy for catching
- 2x Candy XL for catching
- No Remote Raid limits
