Coming up on October 8, Team Rocket will be taking over once again! In Galarian Expedition: Taken Over, you can expect to save Shadow Heatran as well as seeing a rotation in the Pokémon used by the team leaders. Of course, the thing we care about most, using a TM to remove Frustration will also be returning! Here are some event details.

The event begins Tuesday, October 8 at 12:00 a.m. local time, and you'll have until Friday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m. local time. It's a short event, but it's important.

Event bonuses:

  • Shadow Heatran makes its debut (hooray)
  • Shadow Caterpie, Manky, Roggenrola, Venipede, Karrablast, and Shelmet will all debut
  • Increased Team GO Rocket encounters at Pokéstops and balloons
  • Pinsir, Sableye, Mawile will be in Three-star Shadow Raids (can all be shiny!)
  • Machop, Grimer, Exeggcute, and Sudowoodo will be in One-star Shadow Raids (all but Sudowoodo can be shiny!)
  • Use a charged TM to remove Frustration

There will also be some Field Research tasks as well as a few Showcases. Of course, we can't forget Shop bundles!

Rocket Takeovers are some of the most important events in Pokémon GO because we can get rid of Frustration. Other than that, the event is fairly mediocre. Heatran is probably a better Shadow than Cresselia, but that's not saying much.

We'll have to see what the Rocket Team Leaders will rotate to, maybe they'll have something good this go around. At the very least TM away Frustration!
