Gigantamax Pikachu Debuts in Max Battle Day

Mark your calendars, for Gigantamax Pikachu is making it's Pokémon GO debug during a Raid Day event! This huge chonky Pikachu will headline the Gigantamax Pikachu Max Battle Day on Saturday, March 28, 2026 running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Event Details
- Gigantamax Pikachu is making it's debut in Pokémon GO
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles with frequent refreshes and additional active spots
- You can earn 8x Max Particles from Power Spots
- Max Particle collection limit is increased to 1,600
- You get up to 3 Special Trades for the day
- 1/4 Adventuring Distance for Max Particles with a 2x Max Particle yield for exploring between 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Remote Raid Limit is boosted from 10 to 20
There will also be a $4.99 event ticket for Timed Research that includes 1 Max Mushroom, some XP, 6,400 Max Particles, and a 2x XP bonus from Max Battles.
Keep in mind that any Gigantamax Pikachu caught during this event will not be able to evolve.
