Harvest Festival 2025 Features Debut of Dipplin and Hydrapple to Pokémon GO

The 2025 Harvest Festival is fast approaching in Pokémon GO. This year, the event will run from October 10 until October 16, 2025. The event features the debut of Dipplin and Hydrapple (introduced to Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet's DLC expansions), and will include higher shiny rates of Smoliv and Pumpkaboo.
During the Harvest Festival, you have the chance of discovering Syrupy Apples when tapping on Apple spawns. Apples will have an increased chance of appearing at PokéStops with Mossy Lure Modules.
Additionally, the event will feature the following bonuses:
- 2x Candy for catching Pokémon with Pinap and Silver Pinap berries
- Increased Shiny Pumpkaboo and Shiny Smoliv shiny rates
- Increased chance for apples to appear at PokéStops with Mossy Lure Modules
- Increased event-themed spawns: Miltank, Combee, Smoliv, and others
There's also a paid Timed Research ($4.99) which will give the following:
- 2x Mossy Lure Module duration
- Increased chance to get berries from PokéStops (including Golden Razz and Silver Pinap Berries)
- 30 included Silver Pinap
- Three Mossy
Keep in mind that Applin requires 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples to evolve Applin into Dipplin. Then you can evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple using 400 Applin Candy and by catching seven Dragon-type Pokémon with Dipplin as your buddy. That's, uh, quite expensive and demanding.
The event sounds at least somewhat interesting, but man some of these evolutions are getting expensive.
