Pokémon Winds and Waves Revealed, New Starters Revealed

Generation 10 is making a splash with Winds and Waves!
Pokemon Winds and Waves set for 2027

Generation 10 of Pokémon is on its way with Pokémon Winds and Waves! Coming in 2027, we'll be heading to a region influenced by beautiful islands and seas! More information is forthcoming, but the games look quite nice! The games are Switch 2 exclusives (thank goodness, they need the compute power!) and feature what looks like dense regions filled with Pokémon life, including the ability to go underwater. They also revealed the starter/first-partner Pokémon!

You can watch the original trailer here:

Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua are the Starters

The three new starters for Pokemon Winds and Waves

The first-partner Pokémon are Browt (a cute Grass-type bird), Pombon (a cute Fire-type puppy), and Gecqua (a cute Water-type lizard). That's, all we know so far!

pombon, a fire-type puppy in a cave
browt, a grass-type bird next to a waterfall

These little guys are so stinkin' cute!

Other Screenshots and Information

We don't know much about the region other than what we've seen in screenshots. Here are some shots I managed to nab.

Honestly, it looks really good for a Pokémon game! And with the release date being 2027, I'm sure we'll see some polish before release! Plus, Switch 2 means they'll have more power to be ambitious. Also, I love the music so far! I'm actually really excited! We'll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more information about the games and the Pokémon revealed within! Stay tuned!
