Mega Staraptor Joins Pokémon GO in Super Mega Raid Day
Staraptor, The Predator Pokémon, will be featured in a Super Mega Raid Day in Pokémon GO marking the debut of Mega Staraptor! Mega Staraptor has been making waves in competitive circles in Pokémon Champions, and it might just find some good utility in Pokémon GO!
On September 19, 2026, Staraptor Super Mega Raid day will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. This will be a Super Mega Raid which will have shields, so you will need to play with other trainers. Of course, you can get a Shiny Staraptor and all Staraptor caught from these raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked!
Here are the event bonuses:
- Remote Raid limit is increased to 20
- Six free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Staraptor caught from these raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked
- Timed Research with a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Gardevoir
Additionally, Mega Staraptor will learn Brave Bird+ when Mega Evolved. As you increase the Mega Level, it will gain more power. Additionally, you can get Mega Starraptor's Mega Level up to Super Max Level giving it more power and other bonuses.
There's also an Event Ticket for $4.99 that will give you 14 additional Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs, and increased Rare Candy XL chance from Raid Battles, plus 5k additional XP and Stardust from Super Mega Raid Battles.
Mega Staraptor looks to be like a great addition to the game! We'll have to see how things shake out!
