Shiny Rates in Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen

Shiny rates for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are extremely simple. There are no shiny locks. The base Shiny rate is 1/8192.

This rate is half as good as more modern entries in the series.

Additionally, there is no Shiny Charm. Masuda Method was also not yet introduced.

This means that there is no way to improve your shiny rate above 1/8192.
